"grant to start her admission form"?

Honestly, I have no idea what you are talking about. You seem to be confusing everything.

But if you say that

>That money is definitely money that she needs to pay back as soon as she has a job that earns her more than 19k pa.

then it is clear, that you are talking about student loans, not a SAAS grant to pay her fees. Because with SAAS there is no such option: either you are eligible, and SAAS pays your fees for you and you never hear from them again, or you are not, and you get nothing from SAAS. Period.

How do I know that? I take my information not only directly from SAAS and UoG websites (one of which I linked for you above) but also from my own experience (I graduated from UoG a few years back, I had my fees paid by SAAS but I never took out student loan, as I was supporting myself from my savings and part-time work) and I NEVER had to pay anything back. Which is pretty standard, as this experience is shared by other EU citizens with whom I studied coming from countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Finland and Bulgaria. The only person who actually had to pay was a Pole, who for many years lived in Cardiff before coming to Glasgow for her studies, and therefore was treated as a student from Wales, not a student from Poland. As for others, they only had to pay their student loans used for living costs if they had any.

I am not sure whom you try to call an ashole, but I don't see any here: nor correcting someone who is wrong, nor being wrong does not makes ashole of anyone.
