Unfortunately, you've had a run-in with some little shits who just don't have the maturity to be accepting of anything remotely different from them. It's very likely that their parents have no clue where they are and certainly aren't teaching them tolerance and acceptance. You absolutely should not have to be subjected to this, and I would say it's not the norm in Glasgow.
As a mum of LBGTQ+ kids, I know how hard this is. But, as I tell them, there's always going to be some sad little individual who wants to discriminate. It's a sad fact of life. What's most important, is that you don't let little dicks like them get to you. Easier said than done, but that wee prick wanted a reaction out of you to make himself look good....
I think it's worth contacting Princes Square about what's happened.
