Walk means stroll or hike? if the former,
* Balloch country park by loch Lomond, ending with the pub there. i went there today it's lovely. you can access this easily by public transport from Partick.
* Pollok Park - see the highland coos, walk around the old stately home, finish with the tea room in the Burrell Collection gallery. Then while you're in the southside there's plenty of restaurants and bars in Shawlands nearby.
* Chatelherault - bit further out in Hamilton but there's a market on Sundays and there's a very dramatic looking valley and some gorgeous old oak trees. There are some more strenuous walks you can do here and a really long one that takes 2.5 hours.
* Kelvin river walkway.

I think those are the main ones. My mum when she comes over here always drives me out somewhere to go for a walk so I've gotten to know the country parks around Glasgow fairly well. Got a few more possibilities if those don't cut it.

If they like hiking rather than walking, there are plenty of mountains close by. Might recommend Dumgoyne as a fairly easy but also quite steep hill to try.
