However in reality at least for the first application you are not going to have permission to be able to work here and the home office are very strict about what they accept as proof of income. Even if you comfortably earn more than the required amount it can be difficult / impossible to prove, especially if you have changed jobs recently.
People cant work while they are waiting to get a visa, so while the visa costs are very big, the largest cost was missing income over the stupidly long time it takes to get a visa processed. |
