I’m in the same boat, I live in Canada with a Canadian husband and 3 little kids. My mum is sick and now it’s impossible for me to come home. We’re both professionals but these rules mean we would have to be separated for months before my husband could join us. I don’t even think my career which took 7 years of higher education will even get me 38k.
