| Comment | My comment about the UK being stricter was mostly in terms of travel, I got married in the USA because the process of arriving here on a spouse visa to get married here is an expensive logistical nightmare whereas its trivial in the USA. My ex was american and before getting married we always had far more problems at the uk border than the us one |
