I used to live in the centre but I would recommend moving a little bit out to finnieston(right next to Anderston) or a wee bit further to Partick (west end etc) as they have a more neighborhood feel and there are some good parks nearby. You'll probably struggle to find a house so I would expect to live in a flat, most people do.

Since you're working in the centre you could really live anywhere in Glasgow as public transport in the city tends to be directed all to the centre from all parts of the city. Southside such as shawlands, queens park are nice neighbourhoods, lots of good parks down there too. You'll also get more for your money outside of the west end
