On my first attempt at Anniesland the examiner made me go away up to Canniesburn and down the A81, which is one of only two places in the Anniesland test routes which is 50mph (the Clydeside expressway being the other). My instructor had never taken me that way before, and unfortunately I missed the sign where it drops back down to 30.
