No not really. The NF ones are "shower proof" so are ony really for very light rain. Anything more and you risk the down filling being saturated. The one I wear in the rain (a Hillfigger fashion jacket) is more sturdy but less warm. I'd love a jacket that ticks both boxes but haven't found one yet.
