Hey! I first went to my GP about my mental health when I was mid 20s, and it was really scary. I cried my eyes out. Even realising I had a problem with my mental health was very upsetting. However, I confronted my fears. I’ve been to the GP for poor mental health few times since, and I’ve normalised it because the truth is your mental health is just as important as your physical health. And we are just as likely to have mental ailments as we are physical ones. Maybe make a wee list before you go of the key issues. And don’t be afraid to cry. They are well used to that. You’re going to be okay.
