| Comment | If you are interested in Roller Derby, you are more than welcome to come along with me and my mate to Roller Skating at Rollerstop, Kinning Park. It's not Roller Derby but it would get you on your skates and some exercise as a stepping stone to Derby. I'm sure that folk at the rink could point you in the right direction of a local Derby team too. My mate and I are complete newbies (i.e. crap) but the folk who work there are more than happy to teach you the basics, and you can pay for lessons if you want to learn more advanced stuff further down the line. You can hire skates and all the protective gear at the rink. I did loads of research and bought a pair of really good quality skates on ebay second hand when I decided I was going to stick with it. |
