| Comment | Weirdly, most of it probably does get imported. Going back about 15 years, I remember being told that most of the UKs supply of eccies came in through docks in Liverpool.
The problem for people with manufacturing "knowhow" is the already existing network of dealers. Suppose you learned to make eccies. What do you think would happen if you tried to shift a large amount of them? The existing distributors would likely chop you to bits. |
