I'll take a look at the mature student society as well as continue researching the societies I may be interested in. I've seen some changes in a few of them from last year to the present-day, which I suppose has to do with new committee members and a new approach.
I'm Spaniard indeed. What I don't like about Spanish communities living abroad is the sense of ghetto you get from them. People barely try to get involved in the city's life and doesn't accept they're in a different scenario bringing basic problems that are the result of not assimilating the local culture. Something basic when you decide to move abroad. I've seen that in all my years in Scotland. I will checkout what events Boteco offers apart from Latin music and dance. Not my cuppa. I feel totally out of place in that environment.
As for the pub staff, it's something that I found relatively easy since I moved here. As long as you're nice to them, they're keen on chatting. Will keep that in mind if I start to become a regular at any of them.
