Hillhead Jordanhill Rugby Club at Hughenden in the West end has 3 senior men Rugby teams and a very successful women's team. They offer options for people who have never played before and players who have played a very high standard.
As a member of the sports club you also get gym access and access to the tennis courts plus discount in the restaurant. There is a bar upstairs with a mixture of craft beer and showing all the rugby games when they are on. Very regular socials as well and there is no cliche between 1st and 3rd team players. Everyone gets along well. I moved to glasgow not knowing many people and have made all my best friends here.
