>You can’t really blame Brexit for being assaulted for being Eastern European.

Well, my own experience (I live in Scotland since 2005, apart from one insignificant episode, all troubles began after Brexit referendum, and alas, I experienced quite a few), experience of my friends (some have been harassed so much, that they had to move out from their flat in Bridgeton, snarky comments became an everyday reality for many of them and all of us, if I got a quid everytime I hear "We decided in the referendum, why haven't you buggered off yet", I could probably get myself a crate of a nice wine by now) and widely reported surge in anti-immigrant hate crime (according to Home Office data, the number of reported hate crime doubled in recent years, which is at least partially blamed on Brexit and surrounding rhetoric) I certainly can blame Brexit for being assaulted. Especially that the attacker on many occasions expressed his views quite clearly (despite overuse of the expression "fucking cunts" or "wankers").

I am sorry if that spoils your rose-tinted view of your country. I am glad that at least you can point at some neo-nazis in Eastern Europe and say they are worse, I hope it makes you feel better.

Still, the intention of this post was to get advice if there are any areas around the indicated parts of the city (and suburbs) I should avoid, not to create a ranking of most foreigner-unfriendly countries in Europe.
