I had a mobile hair dresser come to my house to do mine and the kids hair because I couldn't get time to go to the hairdresser. I think it was actually really good for the kids to be in a familiar environment. They didn't freak out at all. Worth considering if you could combine it with getting your hair cut to make it worthwhile for someone to come out.
