No bother. There are three main types of fishing in Scotland: game fishing (trout, salmon and sea trout), coarse fishing (pike, perch, roach etc) and sea fishing.

Game fishing is the most 'prestigious' and trout/salmon are normally caught by using fly fishing. Game fish are those freshwater fish considered acceptable for eating.

Coarse fishing is usually done with bait (worms, maggots, fish etc) or artificial lures (plugs, spinners etc), and coarse fish are normally not eaten in Scotland.

Sea fishing can be done with a variety of techniques, and most of the fish can be eaten.
