Knightswood is generally good and I reckon 200k would get you a great house there. There are a few dingy streets close to the canal, but anywhere close to GWR or Dumbarton Road is okay. There are a few train stations, plenty of buses on the main roads, and it's ideal for cycling into town.
It also has a big park, public golf course and public tennis courts.
