| Comment | I wouldn't say I'm okay with it - the culture of entitlement in high positions in both the public and private sectors needs to change - but surely tightening up on what's allowed is more productive. The previous Lord Provost spent twice as much on first class travel (while her staff flew economy on the same trips), but there wasn't such a fanfare. Not saying either is right. I'll be curious to see if this leads to lasting change, or if it'll all just go away now the media and political opponents have their pound of flesh. |
