TitleAnybody up for booting Abellio out of Glasgow, and making Scotrail Scottish?

I know nobody particularly wants to get on a train right now, but the time will soon come when public transport is critical to the running of our city again. This crisis is surely weakening dutch state owned operator Abellio, First and the other private companies that profit from the mess that is Glasgow's current public transport network. There's going to be an election next year and I'd love to see the overton window on public ownership in Scotland shift enough that it's widely debated. Given Glasgow has the potential to benefit massively from this by integrating train ticketing with subway, bringing back some of our disused lines / stations, and making travel from outer suburbs into centre and beyond affordable for everyone, are people on this sub keen to see these changes? if you are, you could [sign this petition](https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/public-ownership-of-scotland-s-railways?fbclid=IwAR1_XAM6emIx9k7bJN2gAQUyTEoSM4o9H-PnpOUO-x5cRaxL6IcAsE_Bfyk)
