TitlePerception of Chinese & East Asian foreigners amid the COVID-19 Pandemic

Hello! I am an East Asian person hailing from Singapore, and I have enrolled at the University of Strathclyde for September. Since the whole Coronavirus thing happening, and the perception of China being involved in instigating the pandemic gaining traction, I am worried about how East Asians are being perceived in Europe right now.

How much racism/prejudice has people of Chinese or East Asian descent in Glasgow been facing lately? I hear things have been quite bad in some other parts of the UK, with one fellow Singaporean [getting bashed in London](https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-51722686) earlier this year, so I am quite worried. I would like to know if things will be okay for me in Glasgow right now (or when I arrive in late August), or if I should defer my enrolment till things calm down.
