TitleIs there a city in England that Glasgow is relatively comparable to?

Moving to Glasgow in September for university. Never been. One of the reasons I'm coming is I'm *defo* a bigger city person and I've read a lot that makes me think I'll like it. Given the pandemic though, I've not had a chance to visit and if I do within the next month, it might not be an accurate representation given there won't be much/restricted nightlife and restaurants etc.

It feels a bit of a strange question but I'm just after just trying to figure out what Glasgow is like in terms of size. It isn't as big as Manchester or Birmingham from what I can figure out, but is still a really big city right? Is there an English city you would compare it to in terms of architecture/size/vibe?
