TitleCan you negotiate to not take furniture of a furnished apartment

Can anybody here tell me if you can negotiate with a landlord to *not* take any furniture in the apartment if it’s listed as furnished?

Not sure if that’s something people do, as I have my own shit and most of the furniture is old and nasty.
