| Body | I live in Merchant City area and just bought an inflatable kayak. I am quite excited to try it, however I don't own a car so I am limited to foot / bike / train transport at the moment. The kayak weighs only 15 kg so it's not a big problem to carry it in a large backpack.
I thought it was would be great to try paddling on the Clyde river as it's like 500 m from my front door. However, I discovered that the Clyde has been 100% fenced off in the Glasgow Green area and perhaps the entire G1 area.
I don't mind climbing over the fence, it is physically doable, however I wanted to check where do I stand legally? I thought that all waterways in Scotland are free to paddle as long as you are safe and considerate. |
