TitleLooking for local views on MSc Applied Economics at Strathclyde

Hello All!

I'm an international applicant for the MSc in Applied Economics at Strathclyde and I'm looking at employability views on MSc courses at Strathclyde Business School in general. I have a Finance based Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience. I liked the course structure and modules of the MSc in Applied Economics, plus the affiliation with Fraser of Allied Institute and a chance to intern there.

I do hold offers from Imperial, Warwick, and UCL as well (waiting to hear from LSE). However, the fees are around or more than 30k for an MSc in Finance from those unis. I am hence sceptical about going in debt given the current economic climate, and I understand it is always difficult for international students to land a good job in the UK anyway given the visa constraints.

Strathclyde fees are reasonable and I have received a scholarship too which brings the total cost (living + tuition) at about 25k, but I have little idea about the returns. So if anyone here could help me by sharing some insights on how the students from Strathclyde get placed in Glasgow, what the average pay is like for economics/ finance based roles, if the school is reputed amongst London banks, etc. would be really helpful!

Thanks!
