TitleAnyone had any luck with chronic migraine treatment in Glasgow?

Hiya - I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with getting chronic migraine treated in pr around Glasgow?

Background: been getting them for three years now, nausea, whiteying, 10/10 on the pain scale - the works. GP's have palmed me off with painkillers whilst I've been trying a number of painkillers. Nearly dropped out of uni, have annoyed all of my work colleagues with having to phone in sick but now I'm actually at my wits end and feel like I have no life outside of pain.

I've just been referred to some sort of headache specialist team by my GP last month (was told I'd hear back in two weeks but phoned today and apparently there is no timescale. Excellent) and put back onto the first preventative I tried.

Does anyone know of any other avenue to explore? I went to a dietician and got all of my food tolerances tested, but that hasn't helped (and was costly). I'm absolutely skint and really cannot afford anything but I need to know what my options are. I've seen some clinics advertise botox, but it's like £350 which isn't affordable.

Has anyone had any success with any particular clinic? Or been referred to any particular service in or around Glasgow?
