| Body | So moved into the new builds directly next to Richmond Park pond (yes, glasgow has a Richmond Park, no it's not in London)
Lovely area, I know Avant homes have bought the entire area for £1 on the basis of building houses/flats/roads and I believe renovating the park and the pond.
It's a lovely big pond with loads of ducks/wrens/swans and geese, but it's very neglected. Does anyone know what's going on with it? I've had a look and there doesn't seem to be a Friends of... group for it.
There are even smaller secondary ponds which are totally hidden with overgrowth and the water look stagnant. Anyone know who I would contact about getting a community group together to do work/look after this?
Also, a very specialist question, but does anyone know if the pond or ponds in general have running water? Richmond park pond seems to be full all the time but brown and disgusting. It's sad to see the model boats sailing about on the stanky water. |
