Perhaps not the right place to post this but thought I’d let people know. Also, perhaps I was stupid for booking tickets but their website made it appear to be safe and socially distant.

Not sure if anyone is thinking of going to GlasGlow. Awful experience. Avoid avoid avoid.

I’ve just sent them this:

Thanks for replying.

I was with a group of three and we all agreed that it was oversubscribed.

The measures at the entrance were fine, distanced and apart. As soon as we passed the ticket inspection the queuing system seemed to go out of the window.

Too many large groups, definitely not from one household, stopping to take photographs for their Instagram feeds and holding everyone up. The stewards did NOT at any point ask people to move on to stop congestion.

The Food Village felt dangerous and unmarked, people milling about with no stewards giving instructions.

The Marshmallow Land - 2 stalls for all those you had admitted. Massive queues and people then buying their marshmallows and crossing over in-front of others to get to the fire pit.

Although you may have fewer people in the Gardens than a normal day you had compressed them into a smaller area - making it hard to distance. On a normal day people would use the grassy areas instead of being corralled into one small space.

We left within 20 minutes as we felt so unsafe. It actually made my sister have a panic attack as there was no distancing in evidence.

I feel that I have been completely ripped off tonight. We couldn’t see the displays, the ones we did see weren’t intricate or detailed. Simply sticking up LED lights does not make a show. In comparison the Chinese Lanterns at Edinburgh Zoo were magnificent, this was awful.

I feel disappointed and will not be attending another event organised by ItIsOn. Not only have you made us all feel unsafe tonight we feel that the event has been constructed to make as much money as possible with little effort.

We left disappointed, scared and upset after 20 minutes. My sister had to be helped back to her car because she had a panic attack due to the large groupings of people, lack of social distancing and no action from your stewards.

Very upsetting and expensive.
