Tldr: Does anyone have experience of moving out of Glasgow but keeping their child in their Glasgow school?
My child goes to Hyndland Secondary after moving here from another part of the country and loves it. I was worried about the move due to shyness but everything has gone so well. I don't want to change schools again for this reason and because I'll still be in Glasgow every day for work.
I'm moving in with my partner soon though and because of how large this will make our family I'm looking further afield. The school is on the train line so I've been looking at anything that will take one short train journey without changes. The council has advised that I can apply to keep the school place no matter where we move, but this has made me hesitant. I'm just wondering whether anyone has tried this and either succeeded or failed in retaining the school spot. |
