TitleGot Chased Down Argyle Street!

Body
This happened to me in late June when the city centre was an even worse bedlam than today, still worrying about it and wanted to ask people here's thoughts on potential dangers going forward.

I was at the lower level of central station heading up to get a train home between 9-10pm, still kind of daylight though. A very dodgy looking guy swaggered up and accused me of mugging his friend, I said he had the wrong person and he walked away. Literally 2 minutes later on the stairs heading to the main bit at central an even more dodgy looking guy at the top asks the same and doesn't take no for an answer, starts sprinting down the steps at me screaming. Since I knew there was a group and they looked the type to carry knives I ran.

Was sprinting down Argyle Street to the 4 corners KFC shouting for folk to call the police, the guy even followed me inside screaming and I had to get behind the counter to get away. Total psycho. Luckily the police came quickly, knew the guy was a bam and it was resolved without injury.

My worry is that these guys will remember my face, see me in the city centre when I'm back there commuting probably from Spring next year and stab me/beat me senseless. Is this at all something I need to take precautions against and worry about? Or can I rely on the probable cocktail of drugs and drink they were on to kill their memory of me? Would welcome any thoughts/comments
