So it's midwinter again, and this has been a very hard year for pretty much everyone (barring the handful of billionaires who're making a fortune out of the whole mess); but we're here, and the darkest day of the year has come. From here on, it gets brighter, it gets easier.

So even if the government focus on only christian festivals has marginalised your midwinter festival, or if the incoming tier 4 restrictions are going to be tough to bear, remember that Summer Is Coming.

Whatever you celebrate (or don't) at this time of year: have a Happy Solstice, Happy Yule, Merry Christmas, Joyous Saturnalia, Kick-ass Kwanza, Happy Hanukkah, Great Pancha Ganapati, Happy Dongzhi Festival, etc, and a Happy Hogmany/New Years/Ōmisoka/whatever :)

Be Safe, look after each other, and know that with each day - despite the colder weather yet to come - the winter IS waning, and better days are coming, as long as we help them to arrive. Light a candle, and watch it through the night with me, and know that brighter days are coming, literally :)
