Titlehoping to move to Glasgow from Canada by June 2021 - what courses + skills should I be working on to make myself more employable?

Hi all,

I'm in Vancouver BC, Canada. I work at a local museum as a fabricator/technician. Basically, in a jack-of-all-trades and master-of-none type way I build all the exhibits. I went to school to work in film and theatre but the museum life called to me and I love it. My job is a total gift but I am stagnating (been here three years), and I want to move to the UK this summer to be with my boyfriend who is from + living in Glasgow now. My question:

I am trying to not be 100% naive about the job market. I am young (24) for the amount of experience I have, since I buckled down right after high school and went to college, and then jumped into a job right after graduating. I have some beginner skills in things such as A/V installation, welding, electronics, raspberry pi, mount making, wood work and metal work, etc. I feel like I need to develop some more skills not only for the job market but to keep myself sharp. With COVID, many courses are online now, and most of the stuff I'm looking to learn is hands-on. I'm game for either, really. I've had a look about at courses and am stumped a bit about what to look for.

I am aware the job market is not great right now. Worst case scenario, I would take some courses in Glasgow (programming boot-camp or something of the sort). I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should be padding my resume up with. Cheers and hope you're all safe.
