TitleLeak from upstairs tenement , longish story & looking for advice

So we woke up on boxing day to water coming through one of our spot lights in the bathroom. I popped the downlight out and saw the real ceiling above soaked and a massive drip coming down (we have a 3ft dropped false ceiling that the lights and extractor fan sit in btw)

The upstairs neighbor got a plumber out but he had a look behind her toilet and sink which are at that end of the bathroom but couldn't see anything of concern and said it must be a communal pipe. Fast forward to us getting the factor to send someone out and he checked the communal pipe that runs up the side of our bathroom next to the toilet and he says its bone dry and checked that there wasn't a pipe running across the ceiling which was connected to the communal down plastic pipe which was maybe letting water out but nothing there.

He did say the original plumber that checked the upstairs bathroom would have not been able to check anything under the floor as she said she wasn't willing to pay for her floor to be repaired if bits of it were to be lifted to inquire further if it is indeed her bathroom pipework that's pissing down through our ceiling.

What are my options?

Do i just pay for a plumber to come out and rip down my ceiling and trace the leak back up to her bathroom if that is indeed the case?

I should that add when we bought our flat we had water coming down from the other end of the bathroom as the above flat shower wasn't sealed/tiled correctly and it took us about 3 months of gentle/not so gentle pushing for her to get it fixed and she is resentful to us because it cost her £1200 for new joists/sub-floor/shower etc to get it fixed and also that because we didn't claim through insurance to get our ceiling repaired that meant she couldn't claim either (her words not mine).

I believe she isn't mentally should we say "with it" as she is a self-admitted jobless alcoholic so dealing with her is really difficult in these situations. Also had the neighbor in asking why we are bothering her with this again as we are causing her "unnecessary stress" and she has already "delt wi it"

Hope this makes sense.
