TitleFlat near Bridgeton station

Hi there, longtime lurker here. Could you give me some advice please? Long story short, my husband and I are selling our house in England to move to Glasgow, and will have rent first (the two systems are incompatible). We'd booked an Airbnb before Scotland went into lockdown - the place had good reviews and it's run by a Superhost.

However I'm not so sure about the area - it's very close to Bridgeton train station and from what I've read trying to search this sub, some parts are a bit iffy? I'm now a bit worried that it's not really going to be the kind of area where it's safe to go for a walk (as getting on public transport without a good reason wouldn't technically be allowed). I've seen that it's very close to Glasgow Green - what is it like to walk there along the main road (London Road)? We have a car (the flat has parking, which was one of the pluses).

The timing of this is all fucked, I'm stressed as hell, we took the offer on the house in August and I honestly didn't think there'd be another total lockdown. Our plan is to eventually (well asap) buy a flat in the West End where we have friends, and this is a necessary step in between, but it's super unsettling.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
