| Body | Was just walking home from work (late shift) & got accosted by this wee dick just off Battlefield Road asking if I was James. Crossed the street to avoid them once I heard them say “Who's this coming?” as I approached but they followed me. Was just the one of them doing all the talking etc and his pal was hanging back. Looked about 20ish, surprisingly good-looking twinky type, didn’t seem drunk or on the smack or anything. Was trying really hard to convince me that I was in fact James & I owed him 200 quid. After politely denying it a couple of times he kept insisting and I said I didn’t know what the fuck he was talking about, which obviously hurt the wee guy's feelings as he started whining about being sworn at (because apparently I’m expected to observe the niceties when some randomers walk up to me in the street at midnight telling me I owe them money). Started walking away, he then shuffled his feet pretending to take a run at me. This made me turn back & I looked him up and down, then figured if he was actually going to do something he’d have done it by now so just kept walking on and they fucked off in the direction they’d been going towards Battlefield Road.
So aye, if your name's James & you owe these guys £200, then you’re in luck because they somehow don’t actually know what you look like and are too feart to actually assault you. I assumed it was just something they made up as a bit of pre-mugging patter to make people stop/slow down for them but then they never actually did anything to me so who knows. Watch yourselves if you live round about here anyway. Been here 4 years and this is the first time I’ve had any hassle, dunno what exactly these guys are playing at but obviously up to some mischief. |
