TitleFlat vibrating due to bass: how bad is too bad?
AuthorCannonieri
Body
I type this at 12.27am as I can't sleep. Looking for some opinions on what is/isn't acceptable when it comes to noise within blocks of flats.

So to start, I actually don't mind noise. Loud parties, people talking, cars, all fine. The issue I'm having is that from about 9pm to 3am or so every weekday, there is a constant vibration in my flat from what I assume is from someone's stereo. It is incredibly minor but what is annoying is that it is constant, no interruption, and feels almost like my ears are in a mild spasm. Because of this I'm struggling to get to sleep or relax at night.

Curious though as to whether people think this is acceptable or not before I speak to my neighbours. The fact it's minor is what makes me think that maybe the problem is just me, but again, it's not really a noise problem, it's more like an unpleasant sensation in your ears. Because of that, no matter how loud I have my own telly, I still feel the sensation in my ears. I'm not even sure if it is technically against any laws given it isn't a loud noise, it's a sensation due to vibrations.

So yeah, to complain or not complain?

Further context: new neighbours, happens every weekday from 9pm to 3am. I think they work strange shifts so are up late each day.
