TitleNot the typical Glasgow tour: Before moving

Morning!

My partner and I are considering moving from Edinburgh to Glasgow by the end of the year.

I know there is still time, that's why I would like to get to know the city a bit before and the idea is to do wee day trips to discover what areas we like most, how does the public transport works from the centre, etc.

Ideally we would like to live close to the centre or easily accessible to, and also ideally, close to green areas (which I believe is what I could miss more about Edinburgh).
I've been recommended Shawlands, Kelvin grove area, Partick, Paisley Road, Maryhill and Renfrew. Any other ideas are welcome.

Now the question is...from Glasgow queen or Glasgow central, how can we spend a morning walking to see/feel some of those neighborhoods above? I understand each of them are big areas but we don't plan to see them all in a day.
Is there an underground line we could follow, or some streets worth walking around?

I'm not too sure if I've expressed myself correctly, but thanks in advance for reading!!
