I've seen statistics saying that Glasgow crime has dropped quite significantly in the last 10-15 years, but it made me wonder why crime was much higher back then. When you see images and documentaries from the 70s/80s, it's understandable why Glasgow had a bit of a reputation but from what i understand, the city had already undergone a lot of gentrification by the millenium. So how did we get labelled murder capital of Europe?
