| Body | About 15 years ago, I was working in Polmadie and on this particular day, I had been sent out to pick up sandwiches, crisps and drinks for a team meeting. I was waiting - as you do - in the checkout queue at Asda in Tollcross to pay for the food. As I stood there with my basket waiting patiently, I happened to glance into the basket - again, as you do - of the slightly smelly, sweaty, balding, white-haired, and rather shifty-looking stout gentleman standing in front of me. I quickly noticed that his shopping basket contained just three items. To this day, I’ve never forgotten them.
They were as follows:
1. A four pack of Tennents Super Lager.
2. A raw chicken.
3. A packet of condoms.
Ever since that day, I’ve always wondered just how many roles the chicken was expected to play in that gentleman’s obviously very well-planned evening... |
