| Body | Okay, given how much attention the post yesterday got, it looks like there's a fair number of folk who'd like to take part in a writing group. I'm a member of several online groups, but a Glasgow-based one might be a bit of fun.
I'm happy to try to organise this, but want to:
(a) check interest (if you're interested, let me know)
(b) consider options for what platform the group should be on (an existing subreddit, a new subreddit, a Discord server, some combination)
Regarding (b), in the thread yesterday, at least one person stated that they're looking to publish traditionally. That could hinder what we can share on a subreddit, as anything posted straight to Reddit would count as first publishing, meaning no agent or publisher will touch the work (which makes the purpose of posting it for critique pointless). However, posting GDoc links would be fine, because the user can delete them and control who has access.
Similarly, we could use a Discord server as that's invite only and definitely gets around that issue. Setting that up would be a bit of work, but I can learn!
