TitleBuying a flat in Glasgow high rises. Yay or nay?

I haven't lived in Glasgow for too long and am not really planning to buy anything immediately, but would still like to hear if any of you have experience of living in tower block flats in Glasgow.

I know they got a really bad rep in the past, but I am wondering if this is still the case. Especially for ones that are fairly close to the city centre (Townhead, Drygate, Hutchenstown/Gorbals...)

I mean the look pretty decent from the outside, especially the ones that have been renovated in the last 5-10 years or so.

My budget would probably be around 80k for 1 bedroom, so they seem to fit the bill.

Any thoughts?
