TitleLetting agency not giving me my keys on moving in day.

Hi all,

Due to move house today. Contract signed for moving in today and all. The letting agency say they can't hand over keys until they have a legionella risk assessment completed at the new property.

Close of business is 2 hours away and I'm giving my keys to my old flat away by then.

If they don't give me keys I know they'll be in breach of contract but what's my remedy?

Can I charge them for the inevitable hotel stay I'll now need?

I'm also aware you're not all legal experts but just wondering if people have had experience with this happening in Scotland before.
