TitleFlying Glasgow to London- do they question your reasonable excuse for travel?

My SO is flying with British Airways to London from Glasgow next week. He's then going to Mexico to do 14 days there as a "bridge country" to legally qualify to visit me in the US and attend my sister's (small) wedding.

My question is, how bad are they hassling people about leaving Glasgow in level 3 while everyone else is in level 2?

In reading the fine print, it does say attending a wedding is a valid reason to travel but not sure what kind of proof would be needed or questions asked etc.

Anyone have experience they can share? Thanks folks, hang in there and all the love to Glasgow!
