TitleRelatively nice and safe areas to live in Glasgow in 2021?
AuthorGGxSam
Body
I recently accepted a job offer in Glasgow and so I am currently planning on moving. Thing is, I'm not familiar with Glasgow and its different areas at all (I'm originally from Singapore, living in Edinburgh for 8 months now). With this new job, I'll be doing quite a bit better financially and so I am hoping to rent a nice flat in a relatively safe area.

So far from what I've heard, the city centre (near the two stations) is pretty rough and that I'd be better off living slightly further out. Is this true? Does anyone have any suggestions for nice areas to live in, and is rightmove the go-to place to find flats to rent? My new office will be near Charing Cross Station so it'd be nice to be close by but I am happy to commute.

Would really appreciate any suggestions/opinions.

(PS The other threads on this topic were quite old, and some newer posts give me the idea that the situation in different areas of Glasgow has changed since covid so apologies if I'm the millionth person asking this.)
