TitleI’m moving to Glasgow in less than a month and I’m having surgery tomorrow so I won’t be able to walk for the next 2 months. What are my options?

Hey, first time posting here.

As title says, I’ll be moving to Glasgow at the end of the month to attend Strathclyde. The thing is, I just had an accident and broke my leg pretty badly so I’ll be having surgery tomorrow and I won’t be able to walk for the next two months.

Needless to say I’m worried about how I’ll move around town, get groceries, and go from my student accommodation to uni and back. In Canada, we have buses for handicapped people that one can take with a doctors note, is there a similar service in Glasgow? Or is there anywhere I can rent a wheelchair? A huge concern of mine is having to use crutches in the rain.

Also, how do I go about having follow up consultations with a doctor in Glasgow to make sure my recovery is going smoothly?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
