I have few questions regarding the city council tax exemptions for full-time students.
I am an international student looking to rent a room with registered student accommodation that is not provided by my uni (think private halls of residence) come September. Do I need to fill out the exemption application, or does this count as registered halls of residence? I am deeply confused by the wording on their website, and after calling the accommodation, they seemed confused by my question, saying they do not know of anyone who had to fill it out.
If I do need to fill out the application, where can I find my tax reference number?
