| Body | We've been applying and searching for nearly two months now and we still have yet to land a flat before our classes start in September. We've been looking EVERYWHERE, both in the city center and 30-45 minutes away from the city for a 1-2 bedroom flat for 400-800 GBP that accepts students (I'm a graduate student) and a cat and have gotten no luck. 😖
We have the savings, we have the references, but we can't seem to find somewhere to stay. We've applied to over 15 flats, inquired over 40 and have had no luck. We've tried western lettings, right move, gum tree, spareroom, facebook groups, reached out to the agencies like DJ Alexander, Cairn, McLeod, Happy Lets, Grant Properties and none of them have accepted our applications, the property was taken or we haven't heard back in over a week.
We're literally open to \*any\* location that's 30-45 minutes away from the city, has public transportation near by, a grocery store and accepts a pet.
Does anyone have any advice as to how we can land a place? Any other websites we could look into? We've been trying for two months and we literally don't know what else to do.
