| Body | Just before I start, I have looked through the page for info but I want some more specific and up to date answers.
I'm planning on doing a semester at the University of Glasgow in the second half of 2022 (semester one in the UK, semester two in Aus). I looked at the student housing from U of G and at private student housing. Some of the private housing looks nice, but id love for people who have lived in either to let me know what they thought.
I'm a bit worried about making friends and social life.
I'd love some advice, I'm completely clueless on student housing and its culture, I live in Australia and student housing/dorms don't really exist here.
Is there much of a difference in social opportunities and culture between the uni's dorms and the private dorms? Being an international student in the second year of my undergrad what housing would be best? Where should I stay for the best experience?
Also any general advice would be much appreciated!
