| Body | Recently moved to Glasgow (just off George Square) and have some issues with my lettings agent but not sure where to go from here
The main issue is the internet, the advert on the lettings agent's website claimed I'd be getting 86Mbps, the lettings agent then confirmed this when I viewed the place. I rarely get above 1, it's literally unusable. The problem is, they force the whole building I'm in to be with the same ISP to avoid cutting wires (which wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't getting third world country internet). I phoned up the ISP, and it turns out the building has a single router (on the 4G network) that all 12 flats share. So the lettings agent lied to me on that front.
On top of this, I've been emailing them asking for updates on this situation (they claim they're working towards an upgrade but I've been given no other info on it) but my last 3 emails have been ignored for weeks now.
Internet speed is pretty essential to my job so if this isn't changed I'm gonna be forced to move out soon. Is there anything I can do? Am I locked into the flat for a year? |
