Does anyone have any idea how someone could connect with people seeking accommodation for COP26? Hotels and AirBnBs are of course charging an absolute fortune for those 2 weeks just now (some pretty modest flats are asking 2k a week). I am going to be out of town for that period anyways so will have a large two bedroom flat close to city centre just sitting empty. I know there will be really good groups and individuals coming in and it bums me out a bit that they are going to be taken to the cleaners paying for their accommodation so I would be happy to offer my flat to a non-profit or academic organisation for little or even no compensation but I am not sure how I would go about connecting with these folks. Anyone have any ideas? |
